Buttons

Refer to the table below for a description of the buttons available in this system.  For Tableau buttons, additional information may be found at help.tableau.com.

Button/Icon

Description

EDC Analytics Buttons

Click this button to download the grid contents to a file (refer to 5.8).  A file is generated by the system, file access options may display based on the browser in use.  Optionally, navigate to the location where your browser saves downloads, to locate your file. 

Click this button to return to the Home Screen or Main Menu. 

Click this button to display Filter options for the category.  Use the drop-down menus to make selections and click the Apply button (for checkbox selections) to complete the process.  Refer to the Filter Environment (button) section for details.

Click this button (displays at top of screen AND below selected filters) to Clear filter settings.  Refer to the Filter Environment (button) section for details.

Click this button to Close the Filters tile.  Refer to the Filter Environment (button) section for details.

Click this button to display details/information about the system or a screen.  Button links to additional information may display at the bottom of the information tile.  Refer to 5.10 for details.

Click this button to return to a previous screen.

 (View More;
 View Detail)

This button displays in a grid when additional detail and/or a drill-down link is available for the data.

This button is a NON-FUNCTIONING system default.

Tableau Buttons

   

Click this button to select a screen/system location as Favorite and add it to your saved bookmarks in the system.  Outline star = not selected; filled in star = selected as a favorite.
Use this button in conjunction with the
 (Favorite menu) button.  Refer to the Favorites section for details.

Click this button to display the Data Source(s) for the Workbook.  Refer to the Data Sources (button) section for details.

Click this button to display the Search field in the screen header.  Refer to the Search section for details.

Click this button to open the Favorite menu.  Click on a Favorite listing to navigate directly to that location in the system.  This button works in conjunction with the  (bookmark location) button.  Refer to the Favorites section for details.

Click this button to display Help Menu options.  Refer to the Show [Tableau] Help Menu section for details.

Click this button to display Notifications.  Refer to the Notifications section for details.

Click this User Menu button to display links that are available to you for reviewing and changing settings/options.  The content that displays and access is based on your system permissions. 

Click the Sign Out link to securely log out of the system; close your browser to complete Sign Out process.  Refer to the User Menu section for details.

Click this button to initiate the data Refresh data action. 

 

Click this button to Pause updates in order to prevent automatic data updates from being applied to your view/visualization.

This button works in conjunction with and displays at same location as the “Pause” button.  When data updates are paused, click this button to Resume automatic/scheduled system data updates.

Click this button to initiate the create or change “View” process.  The button name changes to reflect the name given to the custom View.  Refer to the View Original (button) section for details.

Click this button to initiate the Manage Subscriptions feature.  Refer to the Subscribe (button) section for details.

Click this button to initiate the process to Share a screen or data.

Refer to the Share [View] (button) section for details.

Click this button to Save settings and changes. 

 

Click this button to initiate the process to download your selection.  Refer to the Download (button) section for details.

Click this button to expand the view of the data to fill the entire viewing screen.  Click the Esc (escape) button on your keyboard or use the  button to return to the default view.  Refer to the Full Screen (button) section for details.

Click this button when in “full screen” view to return to the default view.  Refer to the Full Screen (button) section for details.

Click the Apply button to apply/activate Filter selections.

Click the Cancel button to abort a process without making a change.
